Description: Callaway OPUS Chrome Wedge Men's Right 2024 Japan ModelDescriptionDramatic spin wedge, Opus, is born. The 17-groove carved face is equipped with innovative spin technology. The 17-groove face features innovative spin technology that delivers tour-level low launch and spin performance to dramatically evolve your short game. The new OPUS Wedge, named after Callaway, is a new product from Callaway that has been developed over a period of 19 months.Callaway's new OPUS wedge is named after a winery in California that produces some of the finest wines in the world. That is how superb the model was intended to be. The shape, which has a slightly rounded leading edge and a more pronounced teardrop shape, was completed after many improvements based on careful communication with tour players. On the face, the number of grooves has been increased by two compared to the previous model by reducing the width and narrowing the spacing of the grooves while maintaining the sharp 37V groove angle, which has greatly improved spin performance and controllability, especially in rough and wet lies. The blast treatment of the popular JAWS FORGED wedge has been retained, and Callaway's original micro-features remain unchanged. In addition to the existing S, W, and C grinds, the T grind is now available, and the lineup includes seven different lofts ranging from 48 to 60 degrees in 2 degree increments. The sixth prototype shape was adopted after repeated improvements based on feedback from professionals. In the development of the OPUS wedge, much effort was put into the shape. The prototype was first produced about 19 months ago, and was refined numerous times while receiving feedback from tour players. Finally, the sixth prototype, called Shape 6, was adopted. One of the main features is the leading edge, which reflects feedback from tour pros and has a rounded shape that is halfway between the JAWS RAW wedge and the JAWS FORGED wedge. The overall shape is a teardrop shape with the heel side of the top blade not too low and not too high, and the molding from the hosel to the face surface, especially where it connects to the top blade, is very smooth and curved, rather than looking like a traditional dimpled surface. While maintaining the sharpness of the 37V, the increased number of grooves significantly improves performance. The new 2010 groove rules also include a provision that relates the volume of the groove to the pitch of the groove (the width of the groove plus the width between the grooves), so that if the volume of the groove is increased, the pitch must also be increased. In the OPUS wedge, the volume of the groove is reduced by narrowing the width of the groove while maintaining the conventional sharp angle of 37V. The resulting narrower pitch has resulted in two more grooves than before. As a result, the amount of spin is significantly increased, especially in the rough and on wet lies. At the same time, the launch angle has been lowered, greatly improving control when aiming at the target. Inheriting the blast treatment from the JAWS FORGED wedge and installing micro featuresThe face of the OPUS wedge inherits the blast treatment of the JAWS FORGED wedge, which was well received by tour players. The roughness has been upgraded, and it captures the ball more firmly. Micro features are also placed between the grooves. These are small convex areas formed at an angle, but when the face is opened, they are directly facing the target and contribute to increased spin. In addition to the existing S, W, and C, a new T grind is also in the lineup. There are four types of sole grinds in the lineup. The standard S, the W with a wider sole that is more rounded than the previous model, and the C with a semicircular sole that resembles the letter C by shaving the trailing edge side have always existed, but now the T Grind has been added. The T-grind is similar to the C-grind, but has a wider trailing edge and less bounce angle. This allows for more precise contact with the ball, even on thin, hard surfaces. Available in two finishes, chrome and black, and seven loftsTwo types of finishes are available: chrome and black. There are seven lofts available from 48 to 60 degrees in 2-degree increments, with an S grind for 48 degrees; S and W grinds for 50, 52, 54, and 56 degrees; and S, W, T, and C grinds for 58 and 60 degrees. Shafts are available in a choice of three steel models.Product Specifications■club specsHead material / Manufacturing methodMild Iron CastingHead Finishchromium (Cr)Loft angle(°)48S50S50W52S52W54S54W56S56W58T58C58S58W60T60C60S60WVance(°)101012101212141214681012681012Club length (inch)35.7535.535.2535.0Lie angle (°)64.0balanceD3D4Club WeightApprox. 450gApprox. 453gApprox. 459gApprox. 463g■Shafts & GripsShaft NameN.S.PRO MODUS Tour 115flexSShaft weight (g)118.5gtorque1.6pitchROWgripCallaway Tour Velvet rubber black/white no backline (approx. 50g, 60mm diameter) ConditionCondition: NewDescription: Brand new golf clubs in original packaging.
