Description: Beautiful copy of the 1915 Southern Pacific folding map of California, featuring information about resources, attractions, topography and climate. Wonderful period illustration of a Spanish-style farmhouse in a citrus grove. A classic romantic California image of the time. Small map of just the railroad lines on the back, measuring 9”x3.5”, and the larger unfolded map measures about 21”x27”. Excellent condition with only a couple of minor signs of use and age. A few light spots on the back on the railroad map (see photo), a small tear on the front by the top of the A in “California”, and a couple of small holes in the folds, but not bad at all. Really this is a remarkably crisp and clean copy of this lovely and rare map.
