Illustrations. 314 pages plus an index and large section of illustrated advertisements at the back, including one for the Tientsin Pukow Railway between Shanghai and Peking, Café Parisien in Shanghai; Kelly & Walsh, Chinese government railways; Grand Hotel de Pekin, and others. Flexible hardcover with gilt titles on front and spine and a red, gold and silver yin and yang symbol on the back cover. Carl Crow was an American ad executive living in Shanghai. Very good condition, maps have closed tears (see images), and two maps missing (as nine are called for, and there are seven). Tiny sticker on inside front cover from the shop where originally purchased in Shanghai.
