Description: In 1905 Evangeline Reams opened Friends Rescue Home on North Harris Avenue, Columbus, Ohio. It was a home for wayward girls and unprotected children. It provided food, clothing and shelter for unwed mothers and other at risk youth. A truly unsung hero. Evangeline Reams was also an early activist against human trafficking as well, often organizing her own stings on human traffickers who would solicit women through phony housekeeping ads in the early 1900s. All of our paper collectibles are in used vintage condition. As such they may have tiny stains or defects. Please see photos for reference as they are the description.
