Description: Antique cabinet card of lovely young woman photographed in Newton, Kansas. Photography studio is listed as Tripp. Frank D. Tripp is credited as the "pioneer photographer of Newton." From a local blog... "Tripp is credited with taking the earliest photo we have of Newton dated the "Summer of 71" and was a well known photographer in Harvey County throughout the 1880s and 1890s." Cabinet card dimensions are approximately 4.25" x 6.5". Not sure of exact date of photograph. Circa 1890s. I believe that this studio was open between 1880 and 1900.
