We offer a wonderful (and hard to find) unusual example of a friction powered Ladder Fire Truck, constructed of lithographed tin and manufactured in Japan sometime in the 1950's by SSS Shioji Shoten (though their logo is nowhere to be found). We've not seen this particular version, wherein there are Ninjas onboard instead of the usual firemen in traditional uniforms, so assume it is fairly rare. When the truck in pulled back to wind the friction mechanism and then released, the truck moves forward briskly. The little toy measures about 5 1/2" long and is in pristine condition: there is very little play wear, the lithography is still bright and shiny, and there are no dents, splits, or other damage. Please check the photos carefully (I recommend using the magnifying function) as they do a better job than I can of describing the piece.
