Description: Offered for sale is this wonderful posable lady bareback rider/acrobat, manufactured c. 1907 by Schoenhut. The toy was part of the company's "Humpty Dumpy Circus" line and is constructed of wood, with a bisque head, and measures about 8" tall. She retains her original blouse (which has lost its decorative details), but she no longer has her original skirt and neck ruff. There is play wear to the piece with some loss of paint to the bisque face and hair, and the stringing for her legs has loosened, but otherwise she is in very good condition. This little toy has stood up surprisingly well, given that it is over 100 years old, and it would make a great addition to any collection of Schoenhut's Circus toys. Please check the photos carefully (we recommend using the magnifying function) as they do a better job than we can of describing the piece.
