Description: c 1902 RH & SL Plant (Tuscan China) tea trio in the emerald green "May Blossom" design, pattern #5066c from the Carlisle Works, Longton, Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. A wonderfully tactile molded and fluted design with gold highlighting around the edge. In excellent original antique condition with no cracks, repairs or restoration that I can identify, the gilding is in very good condition.Some minor kiln marks and glaze faults which are very typical of the manual processes and technology available at the time. The reverse of the cup and saucer bear the green RH & SL Plant May Blossom England back stamp and hand painted pattern number.The side plate bears an impressed Plant mark only. I have listed 6 trios, a serving plate and milk jug & sugar bowl in this pattern separately. Ref: 1046
