We do have a gentle process to deodorize all books, but we are not abrasive, as not to damage the books. Because of the fragility of old books, we feel that getting the book to the buyer in the best condition is a priority. Also, we understand that most serious book collectors prefer to do this process themselves. Major issues other than hints of old book smells will be noted in the description and condition notes above. Our facility is strictly smoke-free and humidity controlled. However, there are a few occasions when we receive a book that originated in a home or office that was not. In that event, we will state it in the item description.
