Description: Burlington, IA 1890s Cabinet Card Blond Girl w rings, bracelets by Reynolds This little girl is just a great photographic subject! She is sure of herself, and her fashion choices are spot on! The ruffled collar of her blouse echoes the curls of her shiny blond hair, and the field of vew expands outward with her elbows and bracelets. Image is nice and clear. Imprinted under photo, in gilded lettering are:"Reynolds" and "Burlington, Iowa." Sawtooth edges of white card are also gilded. Photographer is Joseph H. Reynolds, whose brother Francis was also a photographer, but moved to Nebraska. Unfortunately, this lovely little girl is not identified. Card measures about 6.5 x 4.25 inches, photo is about 5.5 x 3.875 inches. Light fading to image. Light soiling to image and card. My mother was a photographer who collected antique photos of all types for years. As I am settling her estate, I will be listing these photos as quickly as I am able. There are hundreds of photos to go through, and I am trying to match any information my mother may have left with individual photos. Unfortunately, Mom had dementia at the end of her life and wasn't able to tell me much about her collection. She had done a lot of research into photographers and individual pieces in her collection, and often, but not always, filed her research with the photo(s). I search for more information on the internet and in history books, but it's a slow process and it will take me a long time to complete the sorting and selling process.
