Description: This is a complete Burleigh Scanning Fabry-Perot Interferometer (SFPI), also known as a Laser Spectrum Analyzer (LSA). It consists of a Burleigh RC-46 controller and Burleigh SFPI head with silicon detector retrofitted with mirrors good for 590-650 nm with an FSR of ~1.7 GHz. The finesse within this range should be better than 150 and possibly as high as 500 or more with optimum mode matching. (However, being able to resolve the two lines of common Zeeman split HeNes is unlikely.) The specs of the head are ideal for testing most visible HeNe lasers (all except green) including single frequency stabilized HeNes. The mirrors are the same type as in the first 8 options of my SFPI kits - item # 303543775362 . The RC-46 controller provides adjustment knobs for sweep speed, centering, and dispersion; and detector gain and bias. And it even has a new light bulb installed in the Power switch. ;-) The scope display is of a JDSU 1103P HeNe laser with a mode spacing of 730 MHz. Nothing special was done to capture that trace. The Burleigh SFPI head cavity spacing can easily be fine tuned without tools to optimize the finesse (though it should be fine as-is). The head does show some signs of wear from efforts at this in a prior life. This rig includes the SFPI head, controller, PZT drive and detector cables for the head, and adjustable mount for pan and tilt on heavy base on rubber feet. Alternatively, the mount itself can be attached to an optical post for vertical and horizontal adjustment. An oscilloscope (almost any type) and a pair of BNC patch cables will be required to complete the setup (not included). Thanks for looking, --- sam
