The date at 3 o'clock has the inverted Cyclops magnification lense brilliantly making the date the same height as the numerals. It has the metal lumed sword style hands with a long minute hand with the famous iconic Automatic water proof 666 feet, at 6 o'clock. Original signed Bulova crown.The bidirectional rotating coin edge bezel is also a symmetrical success with 15, 30, 45 numerals etched into the recessed numerals on the bezel and matching minute markers between the triangle and 15 minute mark.I have paired it with a new £30 French handmade Rochet Calf skin rally strap with red lining that works well against the style of this watch and the colour of the aged numerals and lume. Its running strong on the timegrapher and is ready to wear. This is just a beautiful example and is going to be hard to find one in this condition.Do not mistake these vintage Bulova's for the reissue of the modern Bulova owned now by Citizen group and nothing to match this original sixties in house calibre, by the original Swiss made Bulova company.These were when Bulova would use cases made by CBSA .Centrale Boîtes S.A. (Propriété d'Om the same company who made the Omega speedmaster case.The dials were made by Singer who made dials for Omega & for the Rolex Daytona. The movement is the in house Bulova 11ALACD Automatic calibre.One of the early “Snorkel”-designated watches that were famously produced by Bulova beginning in the early 1960’s. For fans of the brand, this is undoubtedly one of the iconic models with perfect vintage styling and 666ft, depth rating.The movement is the Bulova 11ALACD automatic with that Buliva B emblem cut into the rotor, no cost cutting on this calibre.The watch is dated to 1963 denoted by M for the Decade 1960 and 3 for the year. This is all original from the crystal, case, movement, hands, crown & hard to find in this like for like condition with the automatic calibre version as there seems to be more manual wind versions then Automatics.
