Description: This is an original 1915 "Brooks Knock-Down Furniture" brochure from the Brooks Manufacturing Company of Saginaw Michigan. Not a reproduction or digital copy. Measures approximately 24" x 30" doubled sided, 24 section brochure folding up into 4" x 10" mailer. Sharp edges and corners but folds have separated in several places. Exterior mailing panels exhibit discoloration typical of a document in storage for over 100 years. Shipped inside a plastic bag with cardboard backer, inside a protective mailer.Long before IKEA, Brooks Manufacturing offered "knock-down" furniture shipped in a flat pack ready to stain paint & assemble. Best known for its Arts & Crafts oak furniture, including chairs, dressers, desks, benches, buffets, china cabinets, and tables. Brooks closed in 1921 and original catalogs are difficult to find.
