This piece was beautifully modeled with stylistic detail this brooch was inspired, created and accompanied the Sutton Hoo Exhibition and sold in the British Museum store in London. This exquisite enameled brooch was designed by Wendy Ramshaw exclusively for the British Museum. It is inspired by the motifs used by master craftsmen on the gold and garnet jewellery found at the Angel Saxon ship burial at Sutton Hoo, Suffolk. This real grave is probably that of Raedwald, king of the East Angles (AD 599-625 and is one of the richest and most important archaeological finds ever discovered in the British Isles.
