Description: Bridgton & Saco River No. 3, topping off a head of steam, was a Portland-built 0-4-4 Forney Tank engine, a type considered ideal for the narrow gauge railways of the late 1800's. It was prized for its fine brass bell mounted on the sand dome and for its graceful cab roof. Photo credit Maine Historical Societ.
