Description: purchased these awesome Brass Wall Plaques of English Knights Ledgestone's at a high end estate sale. They caught my attention from across the room and when I got close to them and read the plaques, I instantly removed all four of them off of the wall and purchased them. These plaques are like an etched/carved Brass Plaque of English Knights from the 1400s which was considered the Middle Ages. They are commemorative replicas of the Knights Ledgestone's. Three of the Knights are with their wives and one of the knights is with his son who is also a knight. There are Lions at the feet of the knights which I assume symbolizes the English Monarchy. There are also depictions of other things which I am not sure what they are but I’m sure there is a historical meaning for every detail that is on these plaques. I’m not sure how old these plaques are. My best guess is early to the middle 1900s but that’s just a guess. I am not sure, they could be older than that but I’m thinking mid century. Each plaque measures 12 inches tall x 6 inches wide x 1/2” thick. They are heavy, one plaque weighs almost 3 lbs. The patina is darker and it’s nice and even. There is some light scratching on the surfaces but it’s not very noticeable. They each have a hanging chain on the backside and most of them have a sticker that says Handmade in England. These unique plaques will make awesome decor anywhere in the house. They are sure to be the topic of many conversations and the subject of multiple Google Searches to learn the history about these English Knights.
