Description: Boyds Bears & Friends "X’Mas Big Pig/Little Pig" VERY RARE Signed by Head Bean Here is a very rare Boyds Bearstone called "Christmas Big Pig, Little Pig", which features two pig angels; the larger pig is holding a basket of gold stars and the small pig is holding a trumpet. The large pig is wearing a holly berry wreath, and both angels have colorful wings. This hand painted resin figurine has so many details; it is an amazing sculpture and design, requiring a lot of expertise.The bottom of the figure shows the hand written number, and this one is a 1E (First Edition), and over to the side of that is the hand signed signature of Gary Lowenthal, the creator of the Boyds Bears and founder of the company. The First Edition figures were available in the United States at one specific store, and never sold at Boyds retailers. Some of the later edition figures were available in Canada."Christmas Big Pig, Little Pig" was released in 1994, and was retired within a few months. The figurine is in perfect condition, and was only displayed in a closed cabinet. It will come in the original green box, with the original packing; it also has the Boyds Certificate of Authenticity.Boyds Collection figurines have been highly collected since their introductions.
