Bound volume of 1780s-1800s music many Irish imprints

Description: Bound volume of 1780s-1800s music, many Irish imprints Title: Bound volume of 1780s-1800s music, many Irish imprints Publication: Dublin: Hime, Anne Lee, John Lee, Rhames, Southwell, W. Power, Ca. 1780s-1800s Description: Hardcover. 13 x 9.5 inches, bound collection of music: songs, catches, glees, reels, dances, etc., mainly with Dublin imprints, ranging from one sheet to several pages. Condition of the music is generally very good and clean without any tears, stains, etc. The front cover is detached and there is wear along spine. Looking at the book's spine, we're guessing this book was originally about twice as long and we have the second half of it (and no chance of locating the rest). The vast majority are Dublin imprints and are very rare in the trade and with few located in institutions of any given piece. Highlights include music signed by composers Philip Hayes and William Shields, a canzonetta by Haydn, a few Anne Lee imprints (the rare female Irish publisher), songs with lyrics by Burns, and many Irish and Scotch ballads. We have: 1. Love and Glory from the comic opera English Fleet, by Braham (Dublin, Hime). 2. Anthem for one Voice...dedicated to the London Society for promoting Christianity among the Jews, by T. Cooke (Dublin). 3. Sweet Little Margaret, words by Edward Lysaght, music by J. A. Stevenson (Dublin, Hime). 4. See from the Ocean Rising, by Mazzinghi (Dublin, Hime). 5. Viva Tutte (Dublin, Hime). 6. Adieu to the Village, a favorite glee (Dublin, Hime). 7. Within a Mile of Edinburgh, harmonized for 3 or 5 voices by Mr. Wm. Warren (Dublin, Hime). 8. Che Pena, a favorite Catch by Giardini (on the same page as the end of no. 7 on this list). 9. Take Oh Take Those Lips Away, by Mr. Jackson of Exeter (Dublin, Anne Lee). 10. Adieu to the Village Delights, by Joseph Baildon and O Beautous Eyes, a favorite catch (Dublin, Anne Lee). 11. To Me Had Clouds &c., a new duet by Jackson of Exeter (Dublin, John Lee). 12.
