Description: This nearly 100 year old cookbook from Fannie Merritt Farmer is basically America's cooking bible. Fannie Farmer was the first to add measurements and test the recipes contained in her books. Little Brown & Company published this edition in 1925 and it clearly was a holiday gift presented in December 1925 to Helen from Mrs. John Tanner and Myra and Bernice Lang per the inscription inside. The condition of this cookbook is good condition for its age. The fabric on the front cover is fraying, there are dark marks on the covers and a small portion of the advertising section is completely lose from the spine. Also the paper is relatively brittle but there are not many other marks on the inside of the cookbook. Not clear that Helen used if very much! :) Happy to bundle with other items to save on postage. Always open to reasonable offers.
