The stem is about 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall in very good condition, with a healthy root system. Once received, plant it in a pot and water it daily. It will grow and and eventually grow new shoots. It will grow faster once you plant it in ground with good soil and watering. These make excellent privacy screens and provide a beautiful landscape. Bamboo is also known to provide more oxygen than regular trees. After the first full year expect 3-5 new stems, then every year after expect similar results.
