(???? – Feb 2023). Davis was the author of “East African – An Airline Story”, published by Runnymede Malthouse Publishing, 1993.Davis worked at BOAC between July 1958 & Nov 1965. He then went to East African Airways as a Traffic Liaison Officer from Dec 1965 to Nov 1971, and then went to World Airways Inc, to work in Ground Operations & Passenger Services from Summer 1972 onwards. This info taken from 3 business cards within the collection. Another source states: ‘BOAC / EAST AFRICAN AIRWAYS / South African Airways / Sharjah Airport, Jeddah Airport KLM Agent. Jan 1957 – Oct 1990.Davis was also Chairman of the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators (GAPAN) 2000 – 2012 and President of the subsequently renamed Hon Company of Air Pilots Flying Club, 2012 onwards.
