Description: Here we have a single brand new M8 x 1.25 @ 25mm (6mm Allen) bolt paired with a difficult to find washer and low profile matching nut. The nut included with each bolt fits in the 12mm recess common to many vintage BMX seat post clamps. This is NOT original hardware from the era, but is nearly as identical as you can find with the exception of a Y.F.S 12.9 stamping on the head face of the bolt (shown in the 87 pink white wings pic). Parts are steel alloy and treated with a black oxide finish like the originals. This is the solution for janky, lost, missing, rusty, stolen, or stripped out hardware. Check the photos for example GT clamps that are known to fit the standard M8 size. Important "M8" Fitment Notes 1987 white wing clamps on higher end models in the picture can be a problematic fit. For some reason, GT's seat clamp supplier for the 87 models were not only split between two different bolt diameter sizes but also suffered from poor quality machining. Therefore, 87 clamps MAY require enlarging the bolt head recess with barrel sander or round file. If you're restoring one of these clamps, it's best to make any modifications to fit this bolt before powdercoat/refinishing. If you're making modifications to an existing clamp, use plenty of blue tape to help prevent damage to the finish and prevent excessive chipping. Even after some careful modifications, a original 87 white wing clamp is still a tight fit due to the hole not being machined perfectly round and the original bolt head size tolerance (12.73mm vs 12.9mm), you can measure a working existing bolt. This MAY also fit any other brand's BMX seat clamps. The best way to confirm which size YOU need is to measure your clamp twice using a set of calipers or a ruler, then order once.
