I worked with a manufacture that was able to supply material based on my specifications. It has low-density, exhibiting firm support, low attenuation and good durability as well as weather resistant, heat resistant, flame resistant, chemical and oil resistant. The material is excellent at vibration dampening, and sound absorption while presenting pleasing aesthetic appearance. The pads are custom made, and unlike anything available in the marketplace. They cover the entire inside skin of the underhood and undertrunk sections. The look is unique and unlike the stock open cell foam squares, creates a more custom appearance. And, they won’t disintegrate after a few years creating a mess. Application is via spray adhesive. Product recommendation 3M 80 spray adhesive.
