Description: THIS listing is ONLY for BLOCKS of FOUR. Since I can't find the options to add varieties in one listing, I will be listing the various sized blocks available in their own listings. If you want one block of four, order a quantity of 1. If you want two blocks of four, order a quantity of 2. Scott 2022 Specialized Catalogue book value for a block of four of the #20L25 is $30. And, I was going to ask $25, but, I had the idea to lower the price to $19.95 and free shipping so I can just use the eBay stamp and coin shipping thing as an option for this. Doesn't make sense to charge $25 for a block only to give the post office $4 of it when I can sell for $19.95 and sell more of them and only give the post office $1 or something. So. I think its better for us all doing it this way. These are genuine, black on blue glazed paper with original gum / never hinged. "The United States Locals and Their History" written by Charles H. Coster and Published by Scott & Company in 1877, defines this as a Type XVI on page 28. Black ink on glazed blue paper; with all of their stamps being imperforate except a few examples of Types XII, XIII, and XIV. It states the stamp was used from 1870 to 1876 though that may simply be all the later the calendar was when the author finished writing the book. The gum on the back of these stamps is intact and never hinged. I had bought a large accumulation of locals from my stamp dealer, so here I am selling some of them so that I can go buy even more stamps! Absolutely guarantee these stamps are genuine.
