Blackstar's reliable attenuation reduces power to 10 percent of the amp's rated output without compromising tone. Unlike load resistors that alter tone, its method controls the internal voltages of the power stage. This preserves the output stage's tone shaping and feedback loop, allowing power amp overdrive at lower volumes giving the feel of a small amp on the edge of meltdown.
