The art and collectibles that we are offering to eBay buyers are special and unique pieces that have been carefully “curated” by us. This lovely pair of small round china / porcelain dishes can be displayed as decorations or used as coasters ----- or each could be used as a ring dish or pin dish. The design on each white plate features an elegant bird cage with a bird flying in front of it --- and two birds above it (with a ribbon between them). There is a royal crown centered at the top. We are not sure of the origin of these elegant small plates. They have a European look. The manufacturer’s symbol on the backs looks like a stylized JSC. If it is JSC, it might stand for the porcelain company JSC based in St. Petersburg (Russian Federation). The following information is from the Bloomberg website: The company was formerly known as Lomonosov Porcelain Factory JSC and changed its name to Imperial Porcelain Manufactory JSC in May, 2005. The company was founded in 1744 and is based in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation. Imperial Porcelain Manufactory JSC operates as a subsidiary of Evolutsia Porcelain Limited. The logo on the plates might also be an S with a backwards C on the left and a C on the right. Whether these collectible plates are Russian, Western European, Scandinavian, …….. they are definitely attractive accent pieces for those who love birds and elegant bird cages. Each plate is over 3 ¾” in diameter at the rim, 2 5/8” in diameter at the “base”, and about 5/8” tall at the rim. These petite plates are in very good used / pre-owned condition. On one plate there is a very tiny rim chip (we took a close up of it) and on the other there is a tiny chip on the base’s round center ring.
