Author Biography Flavio Rivera-Montealegre nació en un pueblo muy pequeño de nombre San Rafael del Norte, Jinotega, Nicaragua. Sus padres fueron el maestro y poeta Don José Santos Rivera Siles y Doña IlÚ Montealegre Zapata de Rivera. Estudió en el Colegio Calasanz y en La Salle en donde obtuvo su diploma de Bachiller en Ciencias y Letras. Ingresó a la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua en donde obtiene su título profesional de Arquitecto. Salió al exilio en 1982 y se establece en Miami, Florida, en donde estudia Diseño Gráfico en el CBT College. Es autor de cuatro libros, articulista, investigador de la historia de su patria, genealogista perteneciente a la Academia NicaragÜense de Ciencias Genealógicas, al Movimiento Cultural NicaragÜense y al Instituto NicaragÜense de Genealogía e Historia, es articulista que ha colaborado en varios diarios y periódicos comunitarios como El Nuevo Diario, La Prensa Centroamericana, Mil x Mil y El NicaragÜense.
