They were originally designed to power Hornby OO scale model locomotives. These motors are designed to operate on 12 to 18 volts DC. Their no-load current draw at 12 volts DC is approximately 50mA. Their no-load current draw at 18 volts DC is approximately 60mA. They are also suitable to power HO scale slotcars. They may fit classic HO chassis, possibly with some adaptation. Might be suitable for 'Maker' projects, including small robotics and powered cosplay items.
