Thank you for your time, Chris, iconsportscards About the set: The 1911-12 C55 is the second set of Hockey cards ever produced, and is one of the most sought after sets in the history of the hobby. Although much is unknown about the origins of the set, it is widely believed that the cards were produced by Imperial Tobacco of Canada, and were used to market and were included in tins of cigarettes. The popularity of the set stems from both the colorful design and the inclusion of the Georges Vezina rookie card, which many call the Honus Wagner of hockey cards (although not as valuable or rare). The set features 45 cards in full color, measuring 1.5 x 2.625 inches, and features mostly portrait poses of each player. Shipping and Handling: Item will be packaged carefully and shipped promptly. Born in West Garafraxa, Ontario, Bert Lindsay is the father of Hockey Hall of Famer Ted Lindsay. Playing career Lindsay spent three years at McGill University where he played for the school's hockey team, the McGill Redmen. He turned professional in 1910 and played two seasons for Renfrew in the NHA. When the team disbanded he moved west and joined the Victoria Aristocrats of the Pacific Coast Hockey Association (PCHA) for three seasons before returning to the NHA with the Montreal Wanderers. Lindsay stayed with the Wanderers when they joined the National Hockey League in 1917. After the Westmount Arena, the home arena of the Wanderers, burned down in January 1918, Lindsay was left without a team for the remainder of the season. He signed with the Toronto Arenas for the 1918–19 NHL season and retired when the season ended.
