Description: This is a Bermuda Letter from 1850. It was sent from Bermuda to Balmoral, Scotland. It was sent by the commander of the 42nd Highlanders Regiment, stationed in Bermuda. It shows the Bermuda PM 4 in Red dated 2/6/1850, along with the STIRLING transit. It also has the CR or Caledonian Railway Mark. In addition, it has a "1/2" mark in Ink, which is postage at the special military officer rate! The letter itself is rather interesting. It talks about ordered regimental tartan cloth, but also about the personal intentions of the Colonel. I will add photos of the letter's contents for serious buyers! This item is over $100 USD so I will ship it using Priority Mail in the United States, and Registered Mail Overseas at buyer's expense. This is to ensure that it reaches you in a safe and timely manner, and includes tracking!
