Description: Up for bid is this Rare and Great Antique "BELFAST CUT PLUG SMOKE OR CHEW" Cigar Tin! This tin is dark green with lighter green lettering and the "United Cigars" logo on top. Tin shows some spots of paint loss, some small bumps and bruises and scratches, which is normal for such an old item. The bottom of tin is silver in color with age marks and spotting. Tin has a hinged opening in good working order and is silver on the inside of tin. Inside of tin also shows age marks and spotting with rust-like marks in corners. Tin measures 6" x 4" x 3" tall. One end of tin reads "United Cigar Stores Co. Stores All Over, Will Not Bite Tongue". The other end reads "A Cool Smoke Burns Evenly, Does Not Coal In The Pipe". Bottom of tin has a price tag reading $70.00, which I believe was from the previous owner and either his purchase price or perhaps he owned an antique store at one time and this tin was for sale.
