This pillow cover embroidered and made on the Island of Madeira which is world renowned for exquisite hand embroidery. Hand embroidered on a soft Swiss percale, the flange is also hand scalloped. In the past this pattern was offered in bed sets but the skilled embroiderers just do not exist in the numbers to offer such large bedding any longer. So, we have these boudoir pillow shams left in stock and have reduced them to move them since we no longer offer the large pieces. MADEIRA NO LONGER USES THE LEAD SEAL ON EACH PIECE DUE TO ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS. THEY BUNDLE THESE BY THE DOZEN AND PUT A LEAD SEAL ON THE TOP PIECE. I HAVE INCLUDED A PHOTO OF THE BUNDLE AND THE LEAD SEAL ON THE TOP ONE.
