Description: Gorgeous antique/vintage Mexican artisan signed ornate sterling silver and iridescent abalone filigree type necklace. This is a particularly fine example of vintage Mexican jewelry. It is 17 1/4” long and weighs 19.4 grams. It features five pendant/stations that measure approximately one inch by one and one-sixteenth inch and that are separated by dimensional ball/bead elements in a subtle floral type design. The chain is gorgeous in an ornate scrollwork and/or infinity link design that extends up to and is finished with a wonderful hand-crafted clip style hook and eye clasp. Each pendant station is set with a trillion shaped abalone cabochon, each of which has exceptional color play in greens, purples and pinks. This necklace is in remarkable condition for its age with no damage that I could find. Two of the pendant stations are hallmarked with a figural crown mark that appears to have numerals or letters inside and “Sterling, Mexico”, I believe. The marks are quite faded and are hard to read.
