Description: This piece is a rare and extremely nice Oil on Canvas Painting by listed Artist Daniel Kotz. This beautiful painting has been in my private collection for over 30 years. It has hung over my fireplace for most of that time. Its a wonderful painting resulting from Kotz trip thru New England in the 1920's. He painted pieces from there more than once, and I still have the dated mate to this piece which is on a smaller scale. This large painting is , alas, unsigned though it is unquestionably Kotz work. A beautiful depiction of what he saw while spending those days on the coast. And this is the summer of 1920. Why selling you ask... I found something better to hang over fireplace. Kotz O/C paintings are scarce. I bought this one along with a few others directly from the family. The colors are just fantastic as is the subject matter. Kotz never really painted much coastal scenes until he moved to NY and then to Park Ridge NJ. Then he travelled the NE area and painted some really fine pieces. He has only done a handful of coastal and ship scene paintings, and this may very well be the only one that gets out ( at least until I am gone). The piece is in great condition with no issues as described above. Painting comes unframed and is 25"x30" wide. Biography Below...
