Description: This is one of several Archaic stone axe and maul heads that I will be listing from a collection purchased at auction in Iowa from an anonymous seller. This axe head was inspected by the State Archaeologist of Iowa and is authentic. Specific location of origin is unknown. This stone axe head is over 3,000 years old and is a beautiful specimen, rounded on three sides and flat on one. It is slightly over four inches long and roughly two inches wide. A wonderful display piece, both as a historical object and as an ancient work of art.
