Featuring a stylized mushroom shape with muted, hand painted floral decoration, button finial and flat base, lid is designed to fit complete over the box flange, seating all the way to the base. Marked 1/30/52, I believe this was made in Japan - it is a beautiful old box with no damage and just a hint of scuffing and display wear. Wonderful addition to any home, collection or display!
