Description: Delicate antique porcelain cream soup bowl with underplate made by Bawo & Dotter (Elite Works) of Limoges, France. The pattern features pink roses, white daisies and green leaves on a white ground, all around both the interior and exterior of the bowl and on the plate, with a gilded, beaded edge. The bowl measures 3 3/4" in diameter across the top and 2" tall, and the saucer measures 6" in diameter. The porcelain is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks (there is a tiny 1mm fleabite on the rim of the bowl which you can not see and which may actually be a manufacturing defect), and there is no obvious wear to the decoration. Both the bowl and plate are marked "Elite Works, Limoges, France" in red on the bottom, which according to my reference book dates this to the period 1900-1914. This set is the very definition of shabby chic with its pink rose design a la Laura Ashley! Please feel free to ask any questions.
