Bauer M3 Superlite Fly Reel and Extra Spool

Description: Meticulously maintained with drag stored off, cork lubricated, and showing absolutely minimal signs of wear. If you’re reading this, then you almost certainly know what you’re looking at, but I’m hoping you’ll humor me while I sing the praises of the Bauer Superlite series. The Superlite was the final and most refined version of the famed MacKenzie series, switching to a doubled roller system, offering additional porting, and all packaged with the rock-solid reliability of Bauer’s cork drag system. Want to swap spools? No fiddling with screws and bolts like with Tibors or Bauers. Depress the lever and spin off the star. Voila. Done. Only a single (large) piece to keep track of before putting on the new spool. Alas, as is evident by the lack of wear on this specific reel, it’s just not a size I ever use anymore, and it deserves a home with an angler who will appreciate (and more importantly) use this reel. It’s been loved and well taken care of, so I hope you will too. The reel is currently set for left hand retrieve, but is user serviceable to change to right hand. Comes with two neoprene case - one for the reel and the other for the additional spool. Bauer lists this as 3.5”, 5.1 oz, and holding a WF7 with 175 yards of 20 pound backing. On my scale it comes out at 5.31 ounces.
