Description: Battle Armor Comics Lot Writers: Chris Ulm & Paul O'Connor Artists: Frank Turner & Darryl Cobbs Tones: Mike Roberts Letterer: Clem Robins Editor: Chris Ulm Cover #1 by: Benn Dunn & Doug Hazlewood w/ Dale Keown Cover #2 by: Benn Dunn & Doug Hazlewood w/ Jim Rohn Cover #3 by: Craig Brasfield w/ Jim Rohn Armored Warriors versus Alien Invaders in the 21st Century!Sixteen years after the reptilian Sleethians invaded, the human race has all but been exterminated. Only a handful of men and women are still resisting the carnivorous alien invaders. Armed with rebuilt and heavily modified weaponry left over from the Fourth World War, these independently operating platoons of armored infantry are all that stand between the human race and total extinction. Battle Armor is the story of Cromwell's Cossacks, an elite squad of misfits and loners that together have destroyed more Sleethians than any other squad in the California Sector. Now they must destroy an alien slave camp while simultaneously rescuing as many prisoners as possible - can even the Cossacks pull this off? Battle Armor has been spun off into its own Role-Playing Game. Battle Armor is created Chris Ulm & Paul O'Connor. Battle Armor is similar to Starship Troopers with a story of humanity’s last stand, where an “elite armored squad of misfits and loners” wage a terrorist war against the man-eating aliens... the Sleethians. Story/Spoilers: In issue #1, Cromwell's Cossacks destroyed a Sleethian hive and gained a new recruit, only to lose corporal West in an ambush. Cromwell stayed behind to cover the squad's retreat and is thought dead. Next in issue #2, In the aftermath of the raid on the Sleethian Hive, the grieving Cossacks returned to their subterranean headquarters for some much-needed rest and recreation. After blowing off steam in a barroom Brawl, the remaining Cossacks were placed under the command of the hated "Iron Fist" Ecklund. Meanwhile, in the ruins of Hollywood, the injured Cromwell has been captured by an unknown Assailant! Finally in issue #3, In the subterranean headquarters of the 302nd Armored Platoon, battle plans are made against the biggest "snake" base in California... a possible suicide mission. Meanwhile, in the ruins of downtown Los Angeles, Cromwell awakens in the company of the Cratchen - the slaves to the Sleethians. The Cratchen tells Cromwell of their history and their subjection to the Sleethians and how it was decided that Earthlings should be annihilated. Enraged... Cromwell discovers that he has new "powers". Later, the armored warriors are unexpectedly attacked and find themselves in an awkward situation. Features 3 Battle Armor art Pin-Ups! (see 12th scan) Collectible Entertainment comment: Although Battle Armor (1988) is an ill-fated title that was cancelled and is therefore an incomplete story (cliffhanger at end of issue 3... there is not a 4th issue).... Nonetheless, it is still recommended for the Starship Trooper enthusiast. It's good stuff. Comics lot contains: Battle Armor (1988-1989) Issues #1-3.
