Description: Pictured is a working example of the battery operated Pinocchio xylophone tin toy from 1962, manufactured by Videocraft International Ltd. This particular toy is representative of one of the most iconic Disney characters in history and it's becoming difficult to find one of these in working/complete condition. Requires two D size batteries to operate. Pinocchio plays the tune of "The London Bridge Is Falling Down" and a brief video of him in action is included within the photos section of this listing. The toy is in very good condition overall. All of the green tabs on the xylophone are still present, but they are somewhat brittle from age and some have prior glue repairs (very common to see) and as a result, a few of the keys don't play as well as they probably once did. Also, it is entirely possible that a tab or two may come off in the future and need to be reglued. Worth noting, when you turn the toy on, but sure to slide the switch all the way over to "on" so it cycles through the song at least twice. The original box is included and is solid, however, it does have overall shelf wear, marks, tears and tape repairs on the inside of the lid. Pinocchio's head as well as the xylophone are removable pieces so that everything can be syored in the box. This may go without saying, but to prevent the xylophone from falling and getting damaged, be sure not to attach it to the toy until AFTER you have inserted the batteries. Feel free to ask any questions. Please pay within 24 hours.
