Description: This 16.5” is a modern-made instrument ordered online from a shop in China, unlabeled but listed as a “Klotz” model. I believe they are still available through Amadeus Violins. I had the tailpiece added by a luthier and he adjusted the bridge and bridge height as well. It is a hefty body (maybe just over 16.5) but with a very navigable 14.75” string length. It has a warm, full tone and is resonant in higher positions on all strings. I took a risk on this “student” instrument so I’m only asking for what I paid for the viola and tailpiece, but it gets a lovely rich sound! Audio available upon request. I nearly-new condition. Will ship through Fed Ex, carefully packed in a hard case.
