Description: Up for sale is a Western Kentucky Barbie Collectors Exclusive Barbie Goes to the Orient! This piece is rare and only comes up once in a while. Here is your chance to own a piece of Barbie History, and oh boy does this one have a story. It's from a Collector's Group in Kentuckys Convention for the late 1979's and a short run of homemade kimono style dresses for the occasion by Gracie Erwin whos card from the time and signature are on the back of the box. The Barbie is a 1976 and comes with the display box, a beautiful Asian style backdrop, a very detailed latern and umbrella. The details make all this piece a beautiful addition to any doll collection. I know that Barbie conventions started in New York in 1980 but this predates that by a few years and these Collectors events that happened first paved the way for future Conventions. Grab one of the very few original Collector Group Convention Barbies out there. Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding! If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us.
