Their pieces had airbrushed vivid colors with a distinctive look. Very popular in the 1950s, these mallard figurines came in several poses. This one is called Baby Erect Head Mallard. His colors are beautiful and his glaze is nice and shiny. After Spaulding closed in 1957, the China Craft Company fulfilled the last 2 years of Spaulding's contracts. However, after that, they purchased the Spaulding molds and continued to produce figurines until about 1972. Those pieces are decidedly different in coloration than the originals. Therefore, if you see some items on the market that look like Royal Copley but have very pale colors, those were probably produced by China Craft.Thank you for looking.
