Description: AZURITE CRYSTALS with MALACHITE - 5.7 cm - BISBEE, ARIZONA 27193 AZURITE CRYSTALS with MALACHITE - 5.7 cm - BISBEE, ARIZONA This is a very good small cabinet specimen from this classic North American location. It features a vug with rich coverage of mostly undamaged dark blue crystals of azurite. Along the edge of the vug some alteration to green malachite ps. azurite is seen. The bottom side has a rich display of chrysocolla that is uncommon to see from Bisbee. The details under magnification are excellent. The location was confirmed by a local expert of a generational Bisbee family. It’s a great old collection piece from historic Bisbee, ‘Queen of the Copper Camps’. Bisbee mines have been closed for almost 50 years (1975).
