Description: Aynsley 9" Plate Oatlands Surrey c. 1875 Hand Painted Landscape Castle Fine Art. I have little knowledge on the history of this plate. The mark on the back of the plate dates to around 1875. The plate has some signs of wear but I did not notice any chips or cracks in it. Upon closer inspection I noticed that the artwork had some crazing that wasn't visible to me at first. I took the plate outside in the sun and took a photo so that the crazing would show up better. See last photo and zoom in. Considering the age of the item it seems to be in pretty good condition but that's just my opinion. I think the text describing the plate says Oatlands Surrey. If not that then it says Oaklands but I think it says Oatlands. Under the "Outlands Surrey" text on the back of the plate there appears to be a stamp in the plate. I think the stamp says Aynsley which also dates to the 1875 period as does the visible mark. If you have any questions or need more photos feel free to contact me.
