This forty-nine piece set of Autumn Wheat China by Fine China of Japan is decorated with small blue-grey flowers and delicate gold wheat stalks. It features a gold accent on the edges of the pieces and on the handles of the cups. The bottom is marked Autumn Wheat Fine China Japan M$. M$ was the designer of the pattern, Max Schofield. It was manufactured in Japan most likely between the 1950’s to the 1970’s. The set includes: 12 Dinner Plates 10 1/4” 10 Bread & Butter Plates 6 1/2” 1 Coupe Soup Bowl 7 1/2” 7 Fruit/Dessert Bowls 5 1/2” 7 Teacups 4” 10 Saucers 7” 1 Round Vegetable Bowl 9” x 3 1/4” 1 Oval Platter 14” x 10 3/4” This china is in good vintage condition. No chips, cracks or crazing. There is slight fading of the gold edges and light scratches consistent with age and use.
