Flip Side was started in 1977 by Al Kowalewski, Larry Lash, Tory, Pooch, and X-8, a group of music fans who frequented The Masque in Hollywood, California. Used to combat boredom between concerts, the fanzine provided commentary and critiques on concerts and music releases, as well as gossip pages on the L.A. area punk scene (see Berniere and Primois p. 220). It published until 2000, and sporadically issued music under the Flipside label. This issue with pieces on M.I.A., White Cross, Angst, Suicidal Tendencies, etc. GOOD condition. Covers faded, with minor soiling and a few small stains. Some wrinkling and creasing, heavier along the edges. Paper toned in the interior.
