Description: This listing is for: AUSTRIAN ROMANIAN TURKISH Bayonet & Scabbard ~ M1893 OE WG Eagle AS.FA So, truth be told, I'm having difficulty in identifying this, so we'll list it auction style for you collectors! Looks like an Austrian M1871/84 but the pommel shows AS.FA and has what certainly appears to be the Romanian Eagle or Phoenix hallmark! Ricasso shows the OE over WG. Guard is marked 10078. Blade is about 9-5/8" long, overall length of 14-5/8" long. Guard is 2.9" (73.7-mm wide) with muzzle hole inside diameter of 15.7-mm (0.62"). Length with scabbard is 15-1/4" long, scabbard does not appear to be marked. I'm thinking made by Steyr, a Romanian M1893 reworked or modded by the Turks and marked AS.FA, for M35 config.
