Description: This is a nifty, pinkish, 5-Soldi postal stationery card for use in Austrian Post Offices in the Ottoman Empire(in very good condition, with little wear and tear around the edges, and few stains)! It was mailed on February 4, 1888, from the Austrian Post Office in Smirne, Turkey, Ottoman Empire(a pretty good, but somewhat light/faded S.O.N. CDS!), to Amsterdam(a pretty nice, receiving CDS; arrived on February 11, 1888), Holland! There is an auxiliary, routing oval mark from a Dutch P.O., too. The message(written in German or Dutch) at the back is business-related. The sender was a G. Fischer(Jewish?) of Chlapondes(?) & Company. Minor blemishes aside, this is a neat piece of postal history related to Austrian P.O. in Smirna, Turkey, and a business acquaintance in Holland!
