Description: Penny red, single watermark. NOTE that there is a small fold across the bottom left corner. This is IV/36, an unlisted variety with a solid compartment line beside the upper portion of the left frame and a cut into the top frame near the NE corner (a bit hard to see in this case). Monk and the BSAP Guide agree that the left compartment line did not appear until February 1915. This is one of two examples I have seen in 1914 shades with December 1914 postmarks.
